Letters to Emerson- Five Months

Emerson 5 Month Stats: 

Weight: No doctor appointment, but somewhere around 16/17lbs

Height: No doctor appointment but I would guess around 25/25.5"

Clothing: 3-6 months

Diapers: Size 2

Favorite Toys: Loving your playmat, new this month is your excersaucer that you LOVE, and anything that makes noise. Starting to dislike the swing, bouncy seat, and you really seem to hate the Rock N' Play.  Something about being on that incline you don't like and instantly get mad.

Favorite Past Time:  You love being a part of the action, you are most happy with your sisters around to entertain you. You love the BOB stroller, and taking walks to the bus stop and around the neighborhood. You still love the Tula carrier, and sleep like a champ in it. 

Communication: You are cooing and smiling all of the time which is so fun to watch. You are very interactive! 

Cries: You only cry when you are tired or hungry.  Your days of being inconsolable for long periods of time seem to have disappeared.

Bedtime/Nap time: You are in a routine this month, and I am noticing that you typically take 4 naps per day, and drink 6 bottles.  You typically go to bed around 6:30/7pm and wake for the day around 6/6:30am. You still drink one bottle at night (usually around 3am), but still sometimes wake for your binky once or twice. We are starting to wean you from the swaddle and have been using the Love To Dream 50/50 swaddle which allows one "arm" to be zipped off at a time, so we have taken one arm wing off in hopes to have you fully out of the swaddle and into a sleep sack soon.

Foods: Going to try solids this month.

Milestones: 

4/27/18- Rolled from back to belly 

5/3/18- Started to wean swaddle

5/10/18- Gave pink unicorn lovey for the first time.

5/21/18- No more swaddle!
