1. I no longer cook- at all. Actually, I don't even put my lunch together in the morning. The Hubs makes my breakfast everyday (thanks, babe!), and picks up take-out every night. My wallet isn't liking this eating out business 7 nights a week. What sounds good one day sounds horrific the next.
2. I no longer get manicures- my nails are a wreck. The thought of going into the nail salon is too much to handle!
3. I no longer blow-dry and/or flat iron my hair more than once a week. Really. If you know me, you probably will have a hard time believing this one.
4. I don't shave my legs for days at a time. Why bother?!
5. I constantly need to have a water bottle, mints, and a plastic bag with me at all time. Pretty self explanatory!

8 weeks and Morning Sickness
Morning sickness should be called ALL.DAY.SICKNESS because there is nothing morning about it. Ever since 6 weeks hit (over 2 weeks ago) I have been sick. The type of sick where all I want to do is lay on the couch and sleep. Nausea all day but no vomiting. I also have this nagging dull headache that just won't go away no matter how much Tylenol I take, LOVELY. At first I was still able to eat bagels, toast, pasta, etc. (basically all carbs), but now nothing sounds good and everything tastes funny. It's so tough being in the classroom and being "on" all day all while watching my kindergartener's pick their noses and then eat it. BLEH!
This past Saturday was T's Surprise 30th Birthday Party in the city. It also happened to be the worst day of sickness yet. Usually my nausea peeks and it wanes, well Saturday it was constant. I was eating Saltines and drinking Gatorade to no relief. When I finally got in the shower at 330pm I was so weak and so sick. I ended up vomiting in the shower. Talk about the worst feeling ever. I had soap in my eyes and felt like I was drowning.
I know this post seems like one big complain-fest, and it sort of is, but I am just trying to document things the best I can so I can look back when I'm holding my little bundle of joy and say how it was all worth it! I can't imagine this going on for another 5 weeks, so I'm trying to stay positive and take it day by day.
Oh, and I almost forgot to give an update on our sharing the news! We told T's parents, sister J, and grandfather on Thanksgiving. We gave them the gift bag with the baby bib all wrapped up. They all were thrilled with our news! There were some tears shed and they are already taking guesses on Baby C's gender. So far we have T's mom and dad saying boy and sister saying girl. We told my mom and stepdad two days later on the Saturday after Thanksgiving when we were cutting our Christmas tree down. My mom opened the bag and goes, "This is funny." when she was opening the gift bag and saw the bib. When she finally realized what the bib symbolized she screamed, "You're pregnant?!!" It was priceless! My mom is also thinking boy. Next up, we'll share the news with my dad but we're waiting until we hear the heartbeat on Dec 14th.
