- Okay, so I know I promised belly pics from 15 weeks last week, but I forgot my camera at home and we were away! To be honest though, there wasn't much of a difference from 14 weeks. We are heading to dinner with friends tonight and I PROMISE to have T take a picture of me before we go. This week I have definitely noticed my belly sticking out more, and in the mornings when I wake up I feel my bump and it's poking out!!
- For the first time since November, I have cooked my husband dinner. I COOKED! This is breaking news, people! Not once, but twice this week. I was so proud of myself because after not cooking for so long I was afraid I would puke at the sight of raw meat, but nope! :-)
Wednesday night I cooked cheese ravioli with sauteed peppers and ground beef with a red sauce and a side of cheesy garlic bread. Yum!
Thursday night I tried a new recipe for honey bbq chicken (which I think came out pretty good!) and paired it with fresh green beans and cous cous. Delish! It feels so good to be able to do things I did pre-pregnancy. It's the small things folks! ;-)
- As I mentioned in my last post, this past weekend we went to Nestlenook with the in-laws, and T's sister and her FIANCE! That's right, he finally proposed to her! YAY! We are so thrilled and it was so nice to be able to celebrate as a family on a weekend getaway. We got up there on Saturday and had a delicious lunch at the Red Fox (I think that's the name) and then unpacked at the resort. We went on an amazing sleigh ride through the woods with these gorgeous horses pulling us. Each horse weighed something ridiculous like 2,000 lbs! Later that night we went to dinner at a picturesque restaurant, The Wentworth. It was such a pretty place, with yummy food, great decor, and most of all good company! Oh and one thing that is worth mentioning is that the menu's lite up when you opened them. It was coolest thing ever- how hadn't anyone thought of this before?? Here is a picture of us after the sleigh ride. They had a gazebo with a fireplace and this cool little sleigh for photo ops. This was taken on my iPhone:
Sunday morning we had breakfast all together and then went our separate ways. Hubs and I went shopping at the outlets on the way home. We bought our first baby items! First, we went to the Carters outlet. I had something in mind that was all white and very gender neutral. Well, no such luck! I do not know how some people don't find out what they are having because gender neutral clothes aren't cute IMO. We settled on a cute ducky outfit, but it certainly will NOT be the outfit our baby comes home in. Next stop was the COACH outlet. My hubs is super generous and bought me a baby bag! It was originally $400 and was marked down to $199 and then I had a 20% off coupon bringing the total to only $140. Not bad at all! Seeing as I was eyeing a Petunia Pickle Bottom bag that was $158...
- Today we are heading to check out the UppaBaby Vista stroller. I have been drooling over this stroller since before we were even expecting! I'm hoping that I love it as much in person as I do online, and while seeing others push them around. I'll keep you posted on that.
- Check back tomorrow for my 16 week post! :-)
