22 Weeks!

How your baby's growing:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.




1. How Far Along? 22 weeks

2. Total Weight Gain/Loss? 16lbs. 

3. Maternity Clothes? Maternity jeans and regular shirts. 

4. Gender? GIRL! :-)

5. Movement? 

My little dancer's kicks are getting stronger and stronger!

6. Sleep?

I'm officially up once or twice a night to pee without fail.  Poor T is getting less and less room with the body pillow and other pillows that are now surrounding me. 

7. What I miss? 

Being tan!

8. Cravings?

Fruit and hard boiled eggs (no yolk!). Now that I'm home during the days, I make 2 for my late morning, after breakfast snack. I love them with lots of pepper!

9. Symptoms? 

Out of breathe, tired after standing or walking for long periods of time.

10. Best moment this week?

Getting more sweet gifts from friends for Baby Girl! She has quite the wardrobe already!
