Doctor's Appointment This Week

T and I went to my appointment on Tuesday this week. It was SO nice to have him there with me! Our appointment was in the Beverly office and we saw Pat (midwife).  This appointment was funny because it was a lot of serious talk- when to call the office, how to know when you're in labor, when to head to the hospital, etc.  It's all becoming so real.  I brought up a few concerns that I've had- one being Baby Girl not moving like usual on Saturday (leaving this worried Mama to do kick counts for 2 hours straight), and the major swelling in my feet.  We were assured that the swelling was normal with the heat and being at the tail end of pregnancy.  As for the kick counts, Pat said I should have called if I was concerned, but they truly do only need 10 kicks in a day (not the hour that they tell you).  Baby Girl must have just had a lazy day because she's been back to her normal self.

No protein in my urine, BP was perfect, and I only gained 1 lb.  Baby's heart rate was 145, baby's measurement was perfect for 38 weeks. I had an internal exam and it was much more painful than last week.  No dilation, but my cervix is 50% effaced (needs to be at 100%) to deliver.  I've been crampy and have had spotting ever since. :-( I'm just hoping that the end is near! Our next appointment is Wednesday of next week, so a week from today.
