Christmas Eve~

We spent Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family this year.  Typically, we do T's mom's side and then stop by my dad's family's festivities, but now that Reese is here we've decided it's too much traveling (T's fam is about an hour away so not feasible with an infant). We plan to alternate sides each year. :-)

We were so excited to get Reese dressed in her pretty outfit! Timing seemed to be perfect with her waking from her nap, then taking a bottle before getting dressed.  We figured she'd be happy and ready to celebrate.  Well, things didn't go according to plan.  After our little photo shoot here at the house, she decided to projectile spit up all over her dress before we even left the house.  Luckily her dress had a print so it wasn't noticeable after the clean up.

Without further ado, here is our little princess:

Reesey and Mommy

Happy girl!

Loved the bow on the back of her dress...precious!

Daddy's girl!

Look at those cheeks!

Once we arrived at Kath's house, Reese got pretty cranky. She will cry if someone she doesn't know tries to hold her, but she cried when anyone tried to hold her this night! Only I could hold her. :-( We decided that she may still be tired and put her to sleep in her carseat.  She slept for 2 hours! Poor nugget's routine was all mixed up.  Here we are before the Yankee Swap.

Auntie Sarah!

We got home around 9pm and put Reese to bed, and then came down to open one gift each (a tradition of ours).  Here are some pictures from that!

Our beautiful tree!

I got T a beautiful Ralph Lauren sweater with suede elbow patches on it to replace a favorite sweater of his. He loved it!

Opening a VERY sweet card from my husband and daughter!

Mommy was spoiled! This gift doesn't compare to a sweater! :-(

Gorgeous, gorgeous, bag!!! I LOVE it!

Next up.....CHRISTMAS DAY!!

  1. Hey, Courtney!! Happy New Year and Merry late Christmas!!!! OMG, Reese looks so adorable in her Christmas dress and headband - she's beautiful!! (Love your outfit too!) It's always the way that the day you really need your baby to nap or be in a good mood or whatever that something goes wrong! Especially if you try to take pictures! I remember that during Maura's infant portrait session I had just got her changed into her first outfit and she had the hugest poop blowout all over everything!!! PS. Great new bag:)

  2. Thanks, Sarah! We had a lot of fun this year! So true about our little ones not getting the 'nap' or 'no poop or puke' memo! Ha! ;-)
