20 weeks- Half Way There!!







1. How Far Along? 20 weeks! Half-way there!! Seems so close, yet so far away!

2. Total Weight Gain/Loss? 14lbs and I'm not sure I'm going to keep posting my weight gain here. :-( I'm feeling like such a heffer this week. I feel like I already look huge and cannot imagine how big my belly will be at 40 weeks. Looking a pictures of my mother when she was pregnant with me makes me laugh because she only gained 16 lbs and I look more pregnant than she did at 38 weeks (when I was born)!

3. Maternity Clothes? Maternity jeans and regular shirts. Just picked up a few new tops at the maternity store to update my wardrobe. I have lots of stuff for summer from my cousin, but not much for spring. Hubs kept telling me to get new things so I feel more comfortable, so I did! ;-)

4. Gender? GIRL! :-)

5. Movement? Yes, and loving it! I think each day her little kicks are getting stronger. Baby Girl LOVES music! Everytime music is on I feel her move. Hubs was finally able to feel her from the outside this past weekend. She is very active!

6. Sleep? Starting to become more uncomfortable. Wondering if I should invest in one of those pregnancy pillows or if they are a waste of money. I'm going to try and prop myself up on more pillows and see if that helps.

7. What I miss? Not having to heat up cold cuts (although I did cheat once last week), and having a drink!

8. Cravings? My new love? Grapefruit.  Never in my life have I ever eaten grapefruit. In fact, I've not even liked the smell of grapefruit for as long as I can remember. I was talking to my mom on the phone yesterday and she just about died when I told her I had been eating a whole grapefruit each day this week. YUM!

9. Symptoms? I think what I'm having is round ligament pain and maybe some pressure on my sciatic  nerve in my back. Just achy after being on my feet for long periods of time. I thought for sure that I'd be back at the gym- but I am just not sure that my body is ready. The thought of pounding away on a cardio machine and/or class doesn't appeal to me at the moment.  I have an old co-worker that is sending me her pre-natal yoga DVD that she used while pregnant with her baby. I'm hoping that I like it and it makes me feel better and want to go back to the gym.

10. Best moment this week? Doing our baby registry! (well it was actually a week ago Sunday) What fun! Hubs and I spent hours this past Sunday at Babies R Us. I feel pretty confident in our choices though after speaking to many friends that are new mommies. We are just so excited to meet our little princess!
