Our Baby Shower

Our Baby Shower was on Sunday, May 22nd at Finz Restaurant in Salem, MA.  It was hosted by my mom and T's parents.  Everything was perfect! The food was excellent- our guests had a choice of baked haddock or Mediterranean pasta with chicken (think artichokes, roasted peppers, olives, cheese, etc.) for lunch.  The favors were these amazing french almond cookies from a bakery/culinary school in New Hampshire.  (We had these favors at my bridal shower last spring). Our cake was just amazing, and was exactly what I had envisioned. Simple, elegant, and girly. It was a white cake with coconut and had butter cream frosting- my favorite! Anyone who knows me, knows my obsession with coconut!

We were blessed with MANY wonderful, thoughtful gifts from friends and family.  We received a lot of big items including the Pack N' Play, car seat, mirror and lamp for the nursery, bouncer/infant seat, high chair, jumperoo, quilt to match the rest of the bedding, bathtub, changing pad, etc.  We had already been gifted the nursery furniture from our parents, as previously mentioned. Instead of cards, guests were asked to bring a book for Baby C.  This was such a hit because now we have quite the library! So awesome! The best part of the day was being able to spend it with our loved ones.  Baby Girl C is one very lucky little lady!

Without further ado, here are lots of pictures!

The Beautiful Cake!

Such thoughtful touches!

The Soon-to-be parents!

This was one of the games for our guests (others included BINGO and word unscramble)- my mom's cousin Sheila won! Her ribbon was so close to mine! My cousin Shannon was nice enough to do all of the stationary for our shower, including hand made thank you notes already addressed & had our return address on the envelopes! Gifts for the winners were gift certificates to get manicures and/or pedicures- so awesome!

Love this picture of my mom, dad, and I

My two favorite men wearing pink to represent Baby C!

The Cormier's! :-)

So many gifts! Kicking myself for not getting a picture of all of the gifts after they were opened!

My dad tried to get my ribbon around his belly, but it only went about half way! Ha! He told our guests that he was due in November, lol!

Todd's grandmother knitted us a basket FULL of amazing blankets and clothes! We have probably 5 sweaters, hats, sets of booties. and an amazing quilt! Definitely one of the most thoughtful gifts we've received!

We had registered for the matching swing, but didn't receive it at the shower.  With all of the gift cards and money we got, we were able to purchase it after.  T has many things to put together over the next 6 weeks. :-)

Mom enjoying a nice Cosmo.

You should see the adorable matching sandals that go to this onesie from T's parents. Adorable!
