Christmas Eve 2012

I'm finally getting around to blogging about our wonderful Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we did some cooking to prepare for Christmas brunch which we were hosting, then got ready and headed to 5pm Mass. Church with a toddler was super tricky and not much fun.  I tried to be as prepared as possible with lots of snacks, some quiet toys (dolly, etc), and books, but Reese was just not having it. In her defense, there were no other toddlers in church-- either babies much younger, or older children.  17 months is a tough age to sit still for an hour.  She doesn't even sit to watch a 20 minute TV show at home!

We didn't last through the whole service and left after the donation trays went around.  We had a 45 minute drive ahead of us to my Aunt and Uncle's house, so it was for the best anyway.  We arrived around 6:30pm and stayed until about 8:45pm.  Reese is typically in bed by 6:30-7pm, so this was way out of her routine but she did great! The food was awesome, and it was great to spend time with family.

Love this sweet girl.

Someone loves their daddy!

Our little (growing) family! Crazy to think next year Reese will be 2.5 and we'll have an 8 month old!

Presents!

Sophie the teddybear from Build-A-Bear!

Grocery cart! A definite favorite around here.
