Letters to Emerson- Three Months

Emerson 3 Month Stats:

Weight: 12lb 6.6oz (32nd %)

Height: 22.4" (6th %)

Clothing: 0-3

Diapers: 1

Favorite Toys: Not really playing with toys, but loves the playmate, looking at the mobile on the swing, and the little toy we hung from your little vibrating chair.

Favorite Past Time: You continue to love being held, snuggled, and being with Mommy, Daddy, and your big sisters.  You seem to love being out and about and watching all of the action.

Communication: You mostly cry when you are hungry, tired, or want to change activities, but sometimes you still have a witching hour when you are just generally unhappy and aren't easily soothed.

Cries: Same as above.

Bedtime/Nap time: You tend to only be able to stay awake for an hour to 90 mins, and nap throughout the day. You are still up once to eat during the night, and sometimes need us to go in to give you your binky once or twice (or 3 times on a bad night). Mommy and Daddy have been taking turns getting up with you, and usually we will go into your room at your first wake up, and then sleep in the recliner until morning.  It's a good thing we love you so much! ;-)

Foods: You are drinking 4/5oz formula each feeding- you typically drink 6 bottles per day. We bumped you to 5oz consistently on 3/28/18.

Worth Mentioning: This month you have found your hands, and put them in your mouth constantly! You have begun grabbing toys on your play mat.

Milestones: Finding your hands, and grabbing at toys.

Emerson, my love! You turned 3 months old on March 21st, so this is a recap of all things 3 months! 3 months is such a milestone in my opinion, because this is when babies get interactive, smile lots, and are just generally so happy! Gone are the newborn days when your eyes would cross, and you couldn't stay awake. You love your big sisters, and they adore you! They still want to hold you a lot, and always are happy to entertain you when I ask for their help.  You continue to like to be out and about and love to watch TV! Ha!

You are still a little peanut size wise- we cannot believe that you are only in the 6th percentile height-wise, but we know that you'll catch up! At the GI dr. he said based on your symptoms that you are sill very sensitive and wants to try you on Neocate formula instead of the Nutrimigen. However, since we are headed to Disney in just a couple of weeks, Daddy and I are going to hold off until we get back because we don't want to have any major changes before then!

We love you so much, Emerson!

Love,
Mommy
